During my internship at BrokerLink, I led the redesign of the Deeks Insurance website to modernize its digital presence and improve usability. There were no existing design files or structured system for the website in Figma. Therefore, I was responsible for building and maintaining the design system while redesigning the experience. I focused on creating a more intuitive and cohesive platform aligned with brand and accessibility standards.Project Overview
Deeks Insurance is a subsidiary of BrokerLink, a Canadian insurance broker specialized in personal auto, home, and specialty insurance, with a focus on providing group rates to members of faith-based organizations, charities, and academic institutions. I developed the Deeks Insurance design system in a organized Figma file for long-term use, as there were no existing design files or structured system in Figma. To improve consistency, efficiency, and collaboration between design and development, I defined colour and typography guidelines, built reusable components, and established interaction states.
